The five rustici in Serra Valle Semione together form a small village. Three of these houses have been completely renovated and rebuilt. Under the strict eye of the monument preservation authorities, particular attention was paid to preserving the 300-year-old external appearance. For this purpose, very elaborate but durable stone roofs were built. But an attempt was also made to retain or reuse as much of the existing structures as possible inside. This meant that most of the 330-year-old floors could be preserved.

The building technology had to be installed first. An air heat pump provides the necessary heat in winter and all pipes and connections were newly installed.

The surroundings were also designed and new gardens and seating areas were created so that people could enjoy the beautiful view of the Blenio Valley.
