The double gymnasiums form the base of the new building and frame the existing and new outdoor sports facilities. A terrace creates a representative entrance to the auditorium, which invites visitors with a cantilevered canopy and also offers seating for spectators and an outdoor lounge area. The elongated building is accentuated by two high points: the science rooms on the schoolhouse square and the auditorium at the Glattalbahn stop. Inside, stairs spanning several floors in the central atrium connect the subject levels and promote vertical visual connections. The light-flooded central space serves as a communicative hub by making uses visible rather than hidden behind corridors.
