Transforming a time-honored bakery into an apartment with a special atmosphere required creativity and sensitivity. Originally, only the conversion of the upper room was planned. To increase the rentability, we suggested creating a connection to the basement - a demanding measure that was implemented through excavations and underpinning. A storage room was converted into a changing room and the former employee toilet became a fully-fledged wet room, while the impressive room with the 3-meter-high windows was retained. In keeping with the motto "Don't Waste Space", the space above the kitchen is used as a sleeping alcove.

The material concept kept the budget in mind without sacrificing style: the pistachio tone of the kitchen, gray exposed concrete and a polished subfloor create a cool industrial look with successful color accents.
